Targeted upgrade for specific Dell laptops

This OWC module adds 2 GB of DDR3 memory to compatible Dell Latitude models including the E6410, E6410 ATG, XT2 and XT2 XFR. It is a non-ECC, unbuffered SODIMM rated at 1066 MHz with CL7 latency. The single 1Rx8 rank design fits the 204-pin slot and operates at 1.5 V. It is built to JEDEC and RoHS standards for a warranty-safe installation.

Fits into a single SODIMM slot on supported systems

The module requires a free 204-pin DDR3 slot in one of the listed Latitude notebooks. Because it is unbuffered and non-ECC it works with the standard memory controller in those machines without extra configuration. Adding this stick frees up the remaining slot for a matching module if the chassis supports two. No heat spreader is included so clearance inside tight laptop bays is not an issue.

Replaces or supplements the original factory memory

Systems shipped with 1 GB or 2 GB of slower DDR3 will see improved multitasking and responsiveness after this upgrade. The jump is worth it when the current amount of memory limits the number of open applications or causes frequent paging. It is not for machines that already run the maximum supported capacity or that require ECC or registered modules.
