This 32 GB DDR4 2666 ECC Registered RDIMM is built specifically for the QNAP TS-2888X NAS. It delivers 32 GB of error-correcting capacity in a single 288-pin module running at 1.2 V. The registered design and 2Rx4 organisation suit server-grade workloads and cannot be used in standard desktop boards.

Build integration

The module plugs directly into the TS-2888X memory slots and operates at PC4-21300 speed with CL19 timing. It is backward compatible with 2133 MHz and 2400 MHz bus speeds, so it will clock down automatically if the system requires a lower frequency. No heat spreader is fitted, leaving clearance for dense DIMM populations. ECC registered memory cannot be mixed with unbuffered modules.

Capacity and headroom

A single 32 GB stick doubles the memory pool of a stock 32 GB configuration and scales further when additional identical modules are added. The registered buffer and ECC logic maintain data integrity under sustained multi-user NAS workloads such as virtualisation or database caching. Workloads needing more than the installed DIMM count allows will require additional slots or a platform with higher maximum memory.
