Single 8GB DDR3L SODIMM upgrade

This module adds eight gigabytes of DDR3L memory at 1600 MT/s with CL11 latency and 1.35 V operation. It fits Dell Latitude E6540, E7240, E7440 and E7450 laptops using a 204-pin unbuffered non-ECC SODIMM slot. The 2Rx8 organisation is JEDEC compliant and RoHS certified.

Replaces a lower-capacity or slower DDR3L stick

Swapping a 4 GB or slower module for this 8 GB PC3L-12800 part doubles usable memory and raises bandwidth to the JEDEC 1600 standard. The jump is worth it when the system currently hits the memory ceiling during multitasking or large-file editing. Buyers needing more than one slot populated or a higher-speed grade cannot be served by this single module.

Sustained load behaviour

Continuous workloads such as virtual machines, compile jobs or heavy browser sessions run within the rated 1.35 V envelope without throttling. The unbuffered design keeps latency stable at CL11 across extended sessions. Systems without active SODIMM cooling should verify chassis airflow, as this module has no heat spreader.
