Thermals noise and power
Three 8025 AVC ball-bearing fans ship as standard, with mounting positions for a fourth 8 cm unit to increase airflow if needed. Power options cover a single 2U PSU or a redundant supply, so operators can choose the resilience level their deployment demands.
Drive interface and backplane
Eight 3.5-inch bays connect through a 6 Gb/s SATA or 6 Gb/s mini-SAS backplane, with a 12 Gb/s mini-SAS variant also available for higher throughput. Each bay supports SATA II or III and SAS II or III drives, enabling mixed spindle and SSD populations.
