The platform targets virtualization, hyper-converged storage and cloud workloads that demand high core counts and large memory capacity.

PCIe 3.0 lanes and 12 Gb/s SAS define storage limits

The installed MegaRAID 9361-8i controller provides eight ports of SAS 12 Gb/s connectivity with 1 GB cache and battery backup. Twelve front 3.5-inch bays accept SATA or SAS drives; four of those bays can support NVMe SSDs when a compatible add-on card is fitted.
