It delivers high read and write performance with RAID and supports up to 24 drives through expansion. The AMD Ryzen V1780B processor and 8 GB DDR4 ECC memory handle demanding workloads.
12 x SATA drive bays with Synology drive requirement
Twelve 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch SATA bays provide raw capacity up to 192 TB. Synology only guarantees full functionality, reliability and performance with drives listed on its compatibility list. Using non-validated drives may limit features or stability. The single PCIe 3.0 x4 slot accepts network or M.2 SSD adapter cards for cache.
Sustained throughput with ECC memory and 10GbE
Sequential throughput reaches over 3,500 MB/s read and 1,700 MB/s write, while random IOPS exceed 155K read and 79K write. ECC UDIMM memory protects data integrity during long operations.
