The UOTEK UT-794I adds four RS-422 and RS-485 ports through a single PCI Express x1 slot. It targets industrial automation, building management and legacy equipment integration where long-distance serial links are required.

The card occupies one x1 PCIe lane at 2.5 Gbps and connects via a DR44 connector to a breakout cable. Optical isolation and 600 W surge protection per line shield the host system from ground loops and transient voltages on the serial bus.
