Carrier Board for CM4 and CB1 Modules

This adapter board matches the Raspberry Pi 4B outline and mounting holes while supporting various Compute Module 4 versions and the CB1 module. It provides a 40-pin header with standard Raspberry Pi functions and adds Gigabit Ethernet, dual HDMI outputs, camera and CSI connectors. The board is designed for makers integrating a CM4 into custom projects such as Voron 3D printers running Klipper.

Interface Limits on the Carrier

The board exposes a Gigabit Ethernet port, two HDMI interfaces and USB connections with ESD protection, but it does not add any additional high-speed lanes beyond what the CM4 module itself provides. A Type-C connector handles both eMMC flashing and system power input, while a reserved 5V header allows an external fan connection. Builders needing extra PCIe lanes, additional USB controllers or onboard wireless must look elsewhere.

40-Pin Header Determines Compatibility

The double-row 40-pin header replicates the Raspberry Pi GPIO layout, so any HAT or peripheral designed for that pinout will connect mechanically and electrically. If a project requires a different pin count, spacing or voltage level, this carrier board will not fit without an adapter. Verify the peripheral’s pinout matches the standard 40-pin Raspberry Pi arrangement before purchase.
