The APC BR700G is a 700 VA battery backup with 420 W output for desktop computers and networking gear. It provides six NEMA 5-15R outlets split between battery backup and surge-only protection. Automatic voltage regulation corrects input from 88 to 143 V without using the battery. A USB port enables management software on the connected PC.

Quiet line-interactive operation

In normal use the unit runs on utility power with AVR active, so the internal fan stays off and audible noise is minimal. Power draw equals the attached load plus a small charger overhead for the sealed lead-acid battery. Data-line protection covers gigabit Ethernet and coaxial lines against transient surges rated at 354 joules.

Limited runtime at full load

At 420 W the battery sustains output for three minutes, enough for an orderly shutdown. At half load the runtime extends to twelve minutes before the unit powers down.
