The ROMED8-2T is an ATX form-factor server motherboard designed for a single AMD EPYC processor in the SP3 socket. It targets system builders who need high core counts and eight-channel memory in a standard 12.0 by 9.6 inch layout. The board supports EPYC 7002 and 7003 series CPUs, including models with 3D V-Cache technology when a BIOS update is applied.

Eight DIMM slots and flexible PCIe layout

Eight 288-pin DDR4 slots accept RDIMM, LRDIMM, 3DS and NVDIMM-N modules up to 256 GB per DIMM with ECC across eight channels. Seven PCIe 4.0 x16 slots provide dense accelerator or networking capacity, while two OCuLink ports and two M.2 slots share bandwidth with the second PCIe slot via jumpers. Ten SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports and two Mini-SAS HD connectors handle high-volume storage. Dual 10 GbE RJ45 ports use an Intel X550-AT2 controller, and a dedicated IPMI LAN port enables remote management.
