Intel Z370 ATX board for 8th Gen Core

The ASRock Z370 Pro4 uses the LGA 1151 (300 Series) socket and Intel Z370 chipset to support 8th Generation Intel Core, Pentium and Celeron processors. It is not backward compatible with older LGA 1151 CPUs. Four 288-pin DDR4 slots provide dual-channel memory up to 64 GB.

Sustained-load behaviour with PCIe 3.0 layout

Two PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots run at x16 and x4 modes, while three x1 slots and one PCI slot remain available. If the PCIe x4 slot or PCI slot is occupied, the second x16 slot drops to x2 mode. Two Ultra M.2 sockets accept M-key 2230 to 2280 modules at Gen3 x4 speeds and support Intel Optane Technology. Six SATA3 6.0 Gb/s ports offer RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, though SATA ports can be disabled when M.2 SATA devices are installed.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

The board relies on standard ATX power delivery and case airflow for cooling the Z370 chipset and voltage regulators. Realtek ALC892 provides 7.1-channel audio without adding active cooling. Onboard video outputs function only with processors that include integrated graphics, leaving discrete GPU thermal management to the graphics card itself. No fan headers or radiator specifications are provided in the data.
