Z390 Phantom Gaming SLI/ac motherboard

This ATX board uses the Intel Z390 chipset and the LGA 1151 (300 Series) socket. It accepts 8th and 9th Generation Intel Core processors only. Older LGA 1151 CPUs are not supported. The layout provides four 288-pin DDR4 slots and dual-channel memory architecture for mainstream and enthusiast builds.

Bundled Wi-Fi 802.11 ac module

A vertical M.2 Key E socket on the rear I/O comes populated with an 802.11 ac Wi-Fi module. This adds wireless networking and Bluetooth without consuming a PCIe expansion slot. The module uses gold-plated contacts for reliable connectivity. The board also includes a Realtek ALC892 codec delivering 7.1-channel audio for integrated sound.

PCI Express 3.0 and SATA 6.0Gb/s limits

Two full-length PCIe 3.0 x16 slots operate at x16 when one is used or x8/x8 when both are populated. Four PCIe 3.0 x1 slots provide additional expansion. Two Ultra M.2 sockets support PCIe 3.0 x4 (32Gb/s) and SATA 6.0Gb/s drives in 2230 to 2280 lengths. Six SATA3 ports support RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10, though M.2 SATA devices disable specific SATA ports.
