Socket and generation support

The ASRock Z590 PRO4 fits LGA 1200 processors from the 10 and 11 generations. It runs on the Intel Z590 chipset and relies on the CPU for integrated graphics output. Turbo Boost Technology 3.0 is supported when the installed processor offers it.

Memory capacity and speed headroom

Four 288 pin DDR4 slots accept up to 128 GB in dual channel mode. With 11 generation Core i9, i7 or i5 chips the board reaches 4800 MT/s when overclocked, while 10 generation parts top out at 4666 MT/s. Core i3, Pentium and Celeron CPUs only run memory at 3200 MT/s natively.

PCIe and storage interface limits

One PCI Express 4.0 x16 slot and one PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot are available, plus three PCI Express 3.0 x1 slots. The primary M.2 socket delivers Gen4 x4 speeds up to 64 Gb/s but only with 11 generation processors. Six SATA 6 Gb/s ports are provided, though M.2 occupancy can disable specific SATA connectors.
