ASUS Prime Z370-P for 8th Gen Intel Core

This ATX motherboard uses the Intel Z370 chipset and an LGA 1151 socket that accepts only 8th Generation Core i7, i5 and i3 processors. It provides four DDR4 memory slots supporting dual-channel operation up to 64 GB and includes two PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots, four PCI Express x1 slots, four SATA 6Gb/s ports and two M.2 sockets. Onboard graphics output via HDMI works only with CPUs that have integrated graphics.

Thermals noise and power draw

FanXpert 4 Core with an AIO pump header gives software control over chassis fans and liquid-cooling pumps so airflow can match actual system load. The Realtek 8111H LAN controller and Realtek ALC887 8-channel audio codec are low-power components that add minimal heat. No acoustic or power-draw measurements are supplied for typical workloads.

5X Protection III and SafeSlot Core

5X Protection III combines SafeSlot Core reinforcement on the primary PCIe slot, LANGuard surge protection on the Ethernet port and overvoltage guards on key voltage rails. SafeSlot Core uses a metal bracket and solder-point strengthening to resist physical stress from heavy graphics cards. LANGuard adds coupling capacitors and a TVS diode array to reduce damage from static discharge or power surges on the network cable.
