Retro-inspired copper aesthetic

The ASUS ROG Crosshair 2006 AM5 ATX motherboard uses the AMD X870E chipset and AM5 socket to support Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 series processors. A predominantly copper finish with blue and white accents references the original ROG board. It targets builders who want a distinctive look alongside current-platform compatibility.

Four DDR5 slots and five M.2 sockets

Four 288-pin DDR5 slots accept up to 256 GB in dual-channel mode with AMD EXPO profiles and ECC support. Five M.2 slots take 2242, 2260, 2280 or 22110 modules, with the top two running at PCIe 5.0 x4 on Ryzen 9000 and 7000 CPUs. Two SATA 6 Gb/s ports and RAIDXpert2 RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 remain available for additional storage.

Twenty 110 A power stages and massive heatsinks

The VRM uses twenty 110 A stages plus two more 110 A stages and two additional stages, fed through ProCool II connectors with MicroFine alloy chokes and metallic capacitors. Large heatsinks integrated with the I/O cover join via an L-shaped heatpipe and high-conductivity thermal pads to the power stages. AI Cooling II and AI Networking II manage fan curves and traffic during extended workloads.
