The ROG STRIX B850-I GAMING WIFI fits AMD Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 series processors into a Mini-ITX footprint. Two DDR5 slots support up to 96 GB in dual-channel mode with EXPO and AEMP profiles. A 10+2+1 power stage design rated for 70 A per stage feeds the CPU through ProCool connectors. One PCIe 5.0 x16 SafeSlot and two PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots provide high-speed expansion.

The 10+2+1 stage VRM delivers up to 70 A per stage, keeping voltage stable during extended workloads. Large heatsinks with integrated I/O cover and high-conductivity thermal pads dissipate heat from the power circuitry and the primary M.2 slot. Active cooling on the first M.2 drive prevents throttling during long transfers. The second M.2 slot adds capacity without a dedicated heatsink. Realtek ALC4080 audio and Intel 2.5 Gb Ethernet maintain consistent throughput.

DIY friendly features and common install issues

Pre-mounted I/O shield, PCIe Slot Q-Release Slim, M.2 Q-Slide and Q-Latch simplify component installation. Q-Antenna eases WiFi 7 antenna attachment.
