27-inch 5K display for colour-critical work
The BenQ PD2730S is a 27-inch IPS monitor with a 5120 x 2880 resolution and 218 PPI pixel density. It covers 98% P3, 100% sRGB and 100% Rec.709 for accurate colour workflows. The 2000:1 contrast ratio and DisplayHDR 400 certification support VFX, animation and game design tasks. Height, tilt, swivel and pivot adjustments suit long studio sessions.
Thunderbolt 4 single-cable limit at 60 Hz
Thunderbolt 4 delivers up to 90 W power, 40 Gbps bandwidth and video through one port. The panel runs at 60 Hz, so motion clarity is limited to that refresh ceiling. DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 provide alternative video paths without Thunderbolt power or daisy-chaining. The USB-C upstream port carries data only at 10 Gbps and does not supply video or charging.
5K pixel count fits timeline and asset panels
The 5120 x 2880 grid gives 77.8% more pixels than 4K, letting artists view 3D viewports, node graphs and reference images side by side. 400 cd/m² brightness and HDR10 handle bright highlights in graded footage. 90 W charging powers most ultraportables but falls short for high-draw workstations under sustained load. Three downstream USB ports at 4.5 W and 7.5 W each run peripherals, not power-hungry drives.
