Dual-socket Xeon Silver 4410T server

The PowerEdge R760xs is a 2U rack system built for medium-density virtual machines, VDI and software-defined storage. Two Intel Xeon Silver 4410T processors provide 10 cores each at 2.7 GHz with 20 threads per CPU. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR5 memory are installed across 16 slots, supporting up to 1.5 TB total. A 2 TB SATA hard drive ships with Windows Server 2022 Standard.

Storage limited to SATA

The 3.5-inch chassis accepts up to 12 SATA or SAS drives, while the front bays also allow up to 8 NVMe drives if configured. Rear bays add two 2.5-inch slots. The installed 2 TB drive uses the SATA 6 Gbps interface, so sequential throughput is bounded by that link. No SSD is included, and the single 800 W power supply must cover all drives, GPUs and CPUs.

Cryptographic firmware signing

Security features include cryptographically signed firmware, Secure Boot, Secure Erase, hardware integrity verification and a silicon root of trust. A TPM 2.0 module is fitted with FIPS and CC-TCG certification. The chassis supports up to two single-wide GPUs for acceleration workloads. System Lockdown requires an iDRAC9 Enterprise or Datacenter licence, which is not included.
