The Dell OptiPlex 7020 MFF Plus is a new mini PC built around a 14th Generation Intel Core i7-14700 processor with 20 cores and a 5.40 GHz maximum turbo frequency. It ships with 16 GB of DDR5 memory, a 512 GB NVMe solid-state drive and Windows 11 Pro. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 770 drives up to three displays through three DisplayPort outputs. The chassis measures 7.2 x 7 x 1.4 inches and weighs 2.4 lb.

Check display and peripheral needs before ordering

The system provides three DisplayPort connectors and no HDMI or VGA ports, so monitors must accept DisplayPort input or use active adapters. Wireless connectivity uses Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, while a single RJ45 jack supplies gigabit Ethernet. USB ports include one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2, three USB-A 3.1/3.2 Gen 2 and one USB-A 3.0/3.1/3.2 Gen 1. A full-size USB keyboard and USB mouse are included in the box.

Sustained-load behaviour in the 1.4-inch chassis

The 20-core i7-14700 can reach 5.40 GHz on short bursts, but the slim 1.4-inch form factor limits cooling capacity during prolonged heavy workloads such as video rendering or large-scale data processing. Expect clock speeds to settle below the peak turbo level when all cores remain fully utilised for extended periods. The integrated UHD Graphics 770 shares system memory and is intended for productivity and multi-monitor use rather than sustained 3D or compute tasks.
