The Dell PowerEdge R330 fits a single Intel Xeon E3-1220 v5 quad-core processor at 3GHz with 8GB of DDR4 memory. It ships with two 600GB 15K SAS drives on a PERC H730 RAID controller that supports levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. The chassis provides four hot-plug 3.5-inch bays and two PCIe 3.0 expansion slots.

Dual 350W redundant supplies and iDRAC8

Two hot-swap 350W power supplies share the load so a single failure does not shut the system down. The integrated iDRAC8 with Lifecycle Controller gives remote console, power control and hardware inventory over the network. A Matrox G200eR2 video chip with 8MB cache drives local display output when needed.

Rails, bezel and peripherals are not included

The box contains only a power cable; rail kit, front bezel, keyboard, mouse and video cable must be sourced separately. Memory can grow to 64GB across four DIMM slots using 4GB, 8GB or 16GB DDR4 modules up to 2400MT/s. Storage tops out at 40TB across the four drive bays. Networking is limited to two 1GbE ports on the daughter card.
