The Dell PowerEdge R430 fits a single Intel Xeon E5-2603v3 six-core 1.6Ghz processor into a 1U chassis with redundant hot-swap power. Eight 2.5-inch hot-plug bays come populated with 300GB 15K SAS drives on a Perc H330 controller supporting RAID 0/1/5/10/50/60. Installed memory is 8GB DDR4 across twelve DIMM slots.

Perc H330 controller enables flexible RAID

The H330 12Gbps RAID controller lets administrators choose from RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 or 60 across the eight installed 300GB SAS drives. Hot-plug bays and included trays allow drive replacement without downtime. A DVD-ROM drive is also fitted for media-based installs or recovery tasks.

Single-socket design limits total memory
