The Dell PowerEdge R430 fits a single Intel Xeon E5-2603v3 six-core processor at 1.6 GHz and 128 GB of DDR4 memory into a 1U chassis. It targets departments that need a space-efficient host for virtualisation, file services or light database workloads. The platform supports a second CPU when demand grows.

Dual 550 W redundant power supplies

Two hot-swap 550 W units share the load so a single failure does not shut the system down. The 1U airflow path moves air front-to-back across the CPU and memory without liquid cooling. Acoustic output scales with inlet temperature and workload intensity.

Eight 2.5" hot-plug bays with H330 RAID

The front panel accepts up to eight SAS or SATA drives connected to the Perc H330 controller, which supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60. Maximum raw capacity reaches 16 TB when all bays are populated. No drives or trays are included.
