The Dell PowerEdge R650xs packs two Xeon Gold 6338 processors, each running at 2.0 GHz with 32 cores, into a single rack unit. It ships with 256 GB of DDR4 memory across eight registered ECC modules. Ten 1.92 TB SATA SSDs sit behind a PERC H745 controller that supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. This configuration targets virtualization hosts, cloud nodes and analytics clusters that need high core counts and fast local storage in minimal space.

Dual 1400 W platinum supplies handle load

Redundant hot-swap power supplies share the draw from both CPUs, 256 GB of DDR4 and ten solid-state drives. The 1U chassis uses forced-air cooling tuned for the 32-core processors at their 3.2 GHz turbo frequency. Fan speed ramps with inlet temperature, so acoustic output rises under sustained compute but remains contained within typical data-centre aisles.
