1U dual-socket rack server

The Dell PowerEdge R650xs is a 1U rack server fitted with two Intel Xeon Silver 4316 processors, each running at 2.3GHz with 20 cores and a 3.4GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 512GB of DDR4 2666MHz registered ECC memory across 16 DIMM slots. The platform targets virtualization, cloud infrastructure and dense data analytics workloads.

Eight-bay SAS storage and quad-port networking

The chassis provides eight 2.5-inch drive bays populated with 600GB 10K SAS hard drives connected to a PERC H745 RAID controller with 4GB non-volatile cache and battery backup. The controller supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. A Broadcom 5720 quad-port 1GbE OCP 3.0 network card handles connectivity. iDRAC9 Enterprise enables remote deployment, monitoring and lifecycle management.

Redundant platinum power supplies and rails

Dual 1400-watt platinum-efficiency hot-swap power supplies deliver redundant power for continuous operation. The 1U form factor fits standard racks and includes Ready Rails and a front bezel for straightforward installation. The system supports optional GPU acceleration for AI and machine learning tasks when additional compute density is required.
