The Dell PowerEdge R650xs packs two Intel Xeon Silver 4316 processors at 2.3 GHz with 3.4 GHz turbo into a single rack unit, giving 20 cores per socket for virtualization, cloud infrastructure and data analytics workloads. 512 GB of DDR4 2666 MHz registered ECC memory across 16 DIMM slots supports rapid data access and seamless multitasking. The platform scales to 1 TB maximum memory capacity when expansion is needed.

Eight 2.5" drive bays with hardware RAID

Eight 960 GB SATA SSDs connect to a Dell PERC H745 controller with 4 GB NV cache and battery backup, supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 for flexible data protection. A dual-port 10 GbE SFP+ OCP 3.0 network card provides high-speed connectivity, while iDRAC9 Enterprise enables remote deployment and lifecycle management. Ready rails and front bezel simplify rack installation.

Dual 1400 W platinum power supplies

Redundant hot-swap 1400 W platinum-efficiency power supplies maintain uptime during maintenance or failure. The 1U form factor optimizes airflow in dense rack rows, and the cyber-resilient architecture protects firmware integrity. GPU acceleration is optional for AI and machine learning tasks, though not included in this configuration.
