Dual 14-core Xeon rack server

The Dell PowerEdge R730 is a 2U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2680 v4 processors running at 2.4GHz with 14 cores each. It ships with 64GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across four 16GB modules. Eight 400GB SATA SSDs are installed in the 2.5-inch drive bays. The PERC H730 storage controller provides RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 with a 1GB cache and battery backup. Dual 750W platinum power supplies and iDRAC8 Enterprise remote management are included.

Check CPU socket memory and drive bays

Verify that your infrastructure supports the LGA 2011-3 socket and DDR4 registered ECC memory before ordering. The system uses the Intel C610 chipset and offers 24 memory slots with a maximum capacity of 1.5TB. Eight 2.5-inch SATA drive bays are populated with the included SSDs. Network connectivity relies on an Intel X520/I350 daughter card providing two 1GbE and two 10Gb SFP+ ports. Ensure your rack accepts 2U height and that rails match the included ready rails kit.

Fits standard 2U rack with redundant power

The server occupies 2U of rack space and includes ready rails and a front bezel for quick mounting. Dual hot-swap 750W platinum power supplies deliver redundancy without extra cabling. The PERC H730 controller frees internal PCIe slots by using a mini form factor. iDRAC8 Enterprise enables out-of-band management over a dedicated network connection. Quad-port networking handles both management and high-throughput traffic on a single card. Memory expansion uses the remaining 20 DDR4 slots.
