2U Rack Server

The Dell PowerEdge R730XD is a 2U rack server built for storage-dense workloads. It ships with a single Intel Xeon E5-2609v3 six-core processor running at 1.9 GHz and 64 GB of DDR4 memory. The chassis supports up to two processors and twenty-four DIMM slots for future expansion.

12-Bay SAS Storage with H330 RAID

Twelve 3.5-inch hot-plug bays accept SAS or SATA drives; three 2 TB 7.2K SAS drives are installed. The Perc H330 controller manages RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60 across a maximum raw capacity of 52 TB. Memory is capped at 64 GB with the current single-processor configuration.

Dual 750 W Power and PCIe 3.0 Slots

Redundant 750 W hot-swap power supplies maintain uptime during a module failure. Six PCIe 3.0 slots plus a dedicated RAID slot provide room for additional network or accelerator cards. A daughter card delivers four 1 GbE ports, with optional 10 GbE upgrades available. iDRAC8 handles remote management. Buyers needing more than 64 GB of RAM or a second CPU must add those components separately.
