One hundred twenty-eight gigabytes of DDR4 registered ECC memory supports virtualised workloads and software-defined storage clusters.

Redundant platinum power and managed airflow

Dual 1100 watt platinum-efficiency power supplies share the load and allow hot-swap replacement without downtime. The 2U chassis directs front-to-rear airflow across the drives and CPU heatsinks. iDRAC 9 Enterprise provides out-of-band thermal monitoring and fan-speed control for quiet operation under typical utilisation.

Cable-free drive access and flexible networking

The front-loading bays connect directly to the PERC H730P controller through a passive backplane, eliminating internal cabling. The controller supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 with a two-gigabyte cache. A quad-port daughter card adds two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ links for storage and management traffic.
