Dual Xeon Silver 4116 processors provide twenty-four cores at 2.1 GHz with 3.0 GHz turbo for parallel workloads. 512 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory fills sixteen slots across twenty-four DIMM positions. The PERC H730P controller manages SAS and SATA arrays with two gigabytes of cache.

Replaces direct-attached arrays

This system consolidates a separate storage appliance and compute nodes into one 2U enclosure. The jump is worth it when virtualisation hosts need local capacity without a SAN.
