This Dell PowerEdge T430 5U tower server ships with two Intel Xeon E5-2650 v4 processors, each running at 2.2 GHz with a 2.9 GHz turbo. The dual 12-core configuration gives 24 total cores, and 256 GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory is installed across eight 32 GB modules. It is aimed at businesses running VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, Proxmox VE, database instances, or file and backup services.

Sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap bays

The chassis provides 16 SFF drive bays supporting SAS, SATA and SSD media; four Dell 13G 2.5-inch trays are included. The onboard PERC H330 12 Gb/s storage controller manages RAID arrays, while twelve DIMM slots leave room to grow from the fitted 256 GB up to the 384 GB maximum. Dual integrated 1 GbE ports and iDRAC 8 Express handle network and remote management, and PCI Express slots remain open for additional RAID, networking or accelerator cards.

Dual 750 W platinum supplies

Two 750 W platinum-efficiency power supplies share the load and can be swapped without downtime. Redundant hot-swap power is a standard feature, so a single supply failure will not interrupt operation. The 5U tower form factor allows generous airflow through the front drive cage and over the dual LGA 2011 sockets, keeping processor and memory temperatures stable under typical virtualization or database loads.
