The Dell PowerEdge T430 is a 5U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2650 v4 processors. Each CPU runs at 2.2 GHz with a 2.9 GHz turbo and provides 12 cores. The system ships with 64 GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory installed across four 16 GB modules. It targets businesses running virtualization, databases, or file storage workloads that need dual-socket performance and internal drive density.

Verify rack space and memory plans

Confirm that your rack can accommodate a 5U chassis and that you have rails or a shelf suitable for the form factor. The server includes a PERC H330 storage controller and 16 front-access 2.5-inch drive trays supporting SAS and SATA drives. No drives are installed, so you must supply your own storage. Memory capacity can be expanded to 384 GB across 12 DIMM slots if the workload demands more than the factory 64 GB.

Bundled controller and remote access

The PERC H330 provides 12 Gb/s SAS and SATA connectivity for the 16 drive bays, enabling RAID configuration without an extra card. Dual-port Gigabit Ethernet is integrated on the motherboard for network connectivity. iDRAC 8 Express offers out-of-band remote management for monitoring, firmware updates, and console redirection. Two 750 W platinum hot-swap power supplies deliver redundant power. Front bezel and ready rails are not included.
