Dual Xeon tower server for small-office workloads

The Dell PowerEdge T430 ships with two Intel Xeon E5-2695 v4 processors, each delivering 18 cores at 2.1 GHz with a 3.3 GHz turbo frequency. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR4 registered ECC memory are installed across four slots, leaving eight additional slots for expansion up to 384 GB. The system targets workgroup collaboration, mail, file, print and web serving in remote or branch offices.

Tool-less chassis with hot-swap power and drive

Eight 3.5-inch SAS/SATA trays slide in from the front without tools, and the two 750 watt platinum power supplies are hot-swappable for continuous uptime. The PERC H730 controller with 1 GB cache supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60, but no drives are included so buyers must supply their own. Front bezel and ready rails are also absent from the shipment.

Maximum memory capacity of 384 GB across twelve

The installed 32 GB configuration uses only four of the twelve available registered ECC slots, so the decisive specification for future growth is the 384 GB ceiling. Buyers who need more memory headroom than this limit should consider a different platform.
