Purpose-built 5U server for virtualization

The Dell PowerEdge T440 is a 5U tower server configured with two Intel Xeon Silver 4110 processors at 2.1 GHz, each providing eight cores and a 3.0 GHz turbo frequency. One hundred twenty-eight gigabytes of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory populate four of the sixteen available slots, leaving room for expansion up to one terabyte. This combination suits virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi, Hyper-V and Proxmox VE, as well as database and file-server workloads.

Hot-swap bays and redundant power for continuous

Sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays accept SAS, SATA and SSD media, and four Dell enterprise 1.92 TB SATA solid-state drives are installed behind the Dell PERC H330 12 Gb/s storage controller. Dual 750 watt platinum-efficiency power supplies provide redundant hot-plug power, while integrated dual-port gigabit Ethernet handles network connectivity. The front bezel and ready rails are not included, so rack mounting requires the optional conversion kit.

iDRAC 9 Express simplifies remote lifecycle

The embedded iDRAC 9 Express with Lifecycle Controller enables agent-free monitoring, firmware updates and remote console access over the network, reducing the need for physical presence in the server room. PCI Express expansion slots remain available for additional RAID controllers, network adapters, GPU accelerators or other hardware as workloads grow. No operating system is pre-installed, allowing immediate deployment of Windows Server, Linux or a hypervisor of choice.
