Dual-socket Xeon 4210 server

The Dell PowerEdge T440 is a 5U tower server fitted with two Intel Xeon Silver 4210 processors running at 2.2 GHz with 3.2 GHz turbo. Each CPU provides ten cores for a total of twenty cores across the system. 128 GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory is installed across four 32 GB modules in a sixteen-slot chassis that supports up to 1 TB. The PERC H730P 2 GB controller manages RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through.

Before ordering verify power and rails

Two 750 W platinum hot-swap power supplies are included for redundant operation. The unit ships without the front bezel and without ready rails, so rack mounting requires a separate conversion kit and rail kit. Confirm that your facility provides the correct IEC power cables for dual supplies. No drives are installed; the sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap bays accept SAS, SATA or SSD media.

Bundled controller and remote management

The H730P controller with battery-backed cache enables hardware RAID across all bays without consuming a PCIe slot. iDRAC 9 Express provides out-of-band remote management for power control, virtual console and hardware monitoring. Dual integrated gigabit Ethernet ports handle basic network connectivity. Additional PCIe slots remain free for extra network adapters, GPU accelerators or storage controllers.
