The Dell PowerEdge T440 is a 5U tower server fitted with two Intel Xeon Silver 4210 processors, each running at 2.2GHz with a 3.2GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 16GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory and a PERC H730P controller managing four 960GB SATA solid-state drives. The chassis provides sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap bays for storage expansion and includes dual-port gigabit ethernet plus iDRAC 9 Express for remote management.

Installation Notes

Redundant 750-watt platinum power supplies are hot-swappable, so a failed unit can be replaced without shutting down the server. Drive bays use tool-less carriers that accept 2.5-inch SAS or SATA drives, and the H730P controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode. The front bezel and ready rails are not included, so plan for separate rack-mount hardware if you intend to convert the tower to a rack format.
