Precision T5820 Xeon workstation

The Dell Precision T5820 Tower is a new mid-tower workstation built around an Intel Xeon W-2275 14-core processor running at 3.3 GHz with a 4.8 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 2933 MHz registered ECC memory across four slots and a 500 GB M.2 NVMe solid-state drive. The Nvidia Quadro P2000 graphics card provides 5 GB of GDDR5 memory and four DisplayPort outputs. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed and digitally activated.

LGA 2066 platform limits

The LGA 2066 socket supports the installed Xeon W-2275 and the memory controller addresses up to 256 GB across eight DDR4 slots. The Quadro P2000 uses a 160-bit memory bus and is certified for professional ISV applications rather than gaming workloads. The 950 W 80 Plus Gold power supply delivers 90 percent efficiency at typical load. Integrated Intel i219 gigabit Ethernet and Realtek ALC3234 audio handle wired networking and sound without additional cards.

Mid-tower installation notes

The mid-tower chassis provides access to the eight memory slots, the M.2 NVMe slot and the PCIe x16 slot occupied by the Quadro P2000. Registered ECC DDR4 modules must be used to maintain stability; unbuffered consumer memory will not work. The four DisplayPort outputs on the graphics card require compatible cables or adapters for HDMI or DVI displays. No monitor is included in the shipment.
