Integrated LSI SAS 3008 and Intel SATA controllers support software RAID 0, 1 and 10 across eight drives. A DVD-RW drive occupies one 5.25-inch bay. The NVS 310 occupies a single slot leaving full-length PCIe slots free for future GPU or accelerator cards.
