AM5 Socket for Ryzen 7000 8000 9000 Series
This motherboard accepts AMD Ryzen 7000 8000 9000 Series processors on the AM5 socket. Four 288-pin slots support DDR5 memory up to 192 GB in dual-channel mode. AMD EXPO and Intel XMP 3.0 profiles are both supported for memory tuning. The 8+2+1 phase digital VRM delivers stable power for mainstream CPUs.
PCIe 4.0 Limits with Ryzen 8000 Processors
The primary PCIe x16 slot runs at PCIe 4.0 x16 with Ryzen 7000 CPUs but drops to x8 with Ryzen 8000 Phoenix 1 and Phoenix 2 processors. A single M.2 connector wired to the CPU supports PCIe 4.0 x4 SSDs for Ryzen 7000 and compatible Ryzen 8000 chips. The second PCIe slot is limited to PCIe 3.0 x1. Four SATA 6 Gb/s ports and NVMe RAID 0 1 10 round out storage options.
EZ-Latch Plus Simplifies GPU and M.2 Installation
PCIe 4.0 x16 and M.2 connectors feature screwless quick-release latches so graphics cards and SSDs install without tools. Q-Flash Plus allows BIOS updates without a CPU or memory installed. Wi-Fi 6E and BLUETOOTH 5.2 share the 1 GbE LAN port for networking. Smart Fan 6 provides header-based cooling control for the VRM heatsink and M.2 thermal guard.
