The HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 is a 1U rack server built for dense compute. Two Xeon E5-2670v3 processors deliver 24 cores and 48 threads at 2.3GHz. It suits virtualisation hosts, database nodes and high-density clusters that need maximum throughput per rack unit.

Redundant power and flexible drive bays

Dual 500W hot-swap power supplies provide redundancy for continuous operation. Eight 2.5-inch SAS bays connect to a Smart HBA H240ar controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Two 1TB 7.2K SAS drives are installed; the remaining bays accept additional SAS or SATA drives.

Memory ceiling and processor upgrade path

The system ships with 8GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory across 24 DIMM slots, expandable to 3TB with larger modules. Buyers who need more memory capacity or faster memory speeds must populate additional slots with compatible DDR4 modules. The socketed design also allows a move to higher-core-count Xeon v3 or v4 processors when workloads demand more than the current 24 cores.
