The HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 fits a single Intel Xeon E5-2620 v3 six-core processor at 2.4GHz with 64GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory across 24 DIMM slots. Two 146GB 15K SAS drives connect through a Smart HBA H240ar controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Redundant 500W hot-swap power supplies keep the platform running in space-constrained racks. No operating system is included.

Processor and memory ceiling

This unit ships with one E5-2620 v3 CPU and the maximum 64GB of DDR4 installed; the board accepts a second processor to reach 36 total cores and 3TB of memory, but the current configuration cannot exceed 64GB without adding the second socket. Buyers who need more than 64GB today must populate the second processor slot before adding further DIMMs.

Slide-in rails and drive trays

The 1U chassis mounts on standard rack rails and the eight SFF bays accept 2.5-inch SAS drives with included trays. Installation is straightforward: seat the server, lock the ears, connect power and network, then configure the H240ar RAID from the BIOS utility. The Matrox G200 graphics provide basic console output only; headless deployments should enable iLO remote management before the first boot.
