Purpose-built density

This 1U rack server fits a single Intel Xeon E5-2670 v3 twelve-core processor running at 2.3 GHz with 16 GB of DDR4 ECC memory installed across twenty-four DIMM slots. Four 3.5-inch SAS drives at 1 TB each provide capacity for storage-heavy workloads while the Smart HBA H240ar controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. The platform targets organisations that need compute density in a single rack unit without an operating system pre-loaded.

Build integration

Redundant hot-swap 500 W power supplies maintain uptime during module replacement and the chassis accepts a second processor for up to thirty-six total cores when demand grows. The H240ar controller handles both 12 Gb SAS and 6 Gb SATA devices so future drive upgrades can mix interfaces. Twenty-four memory slots allow expansion to 3 TB of DDR4 registered ECC modules at speeds up to 2400 MT/s dependent on the installed CPU. No GPU beyond the integrated Matrox G200 is present so graphics acceleration must be added separately if required.

Thermals and power

Dual 500 W redundant supplies share load efficiently while hot-swap fans cool the dense 1U enclosure under typical enterprise workloads. The 7.2 K RPM SAS drives generate moderate heat that the front-to-rear airflow manages within standard data-centre temperature ranges. Acoustic output is consistent with rackmount servers designed for equipment rooms rather than office desks. Power draw scales with processor utilisation and drive activity but remains within the capacity of the paired supplies.
