This 1U rack server is built for dense compute workloads in space-constrained environments. It ships with a single twelve-core Xeon E5-2670 v3 processor running at 2.3 GHz and sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 ECC registered memory. The platform supports a second processor to reach up to twenty-four physical cores. Two 1 TB SAS drives are installed behind the Smart HBA H240ar controller.

Eight-bay 2.5-inch SAS drive limit

The chassis provides eight small-form-factor bays for 2.5-inch SAS or SATA drives. The installed H240ar controller handles twelve gigabit SAS and six gigabit SATA links with RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Maximum memory capacity reaches three terabytes across twenty-four DIMM slots when both processor sockets are populated. Drive count and memory slots set the practical expansion ceiling.

Tool-less rails and redundant power simplify

The server slides into a standard rack on tool-less rails and draws power from two hot-swap 500 W supplies for redundancy. Memory population rules require matched DIMMs per processor, so mixing capacities across the twelve slots per CPU can prevent the system from posting. Drive trays are included only with populated bays, so additional drives need their own carriers.
