Forty-eight gigabytes of DDR4 ECC registered memory are installed across the available DIMM slots. Two 300 GB 10K SAS 2.5-inch drives connect through a Smart Array P204i-b SR Gen10 controller.

Buyers who need more storage bays should look elsewhere because the chassis limits this model to two 2.5-inch drives. Buyers who need GPU acceleration should also look elsewhere because only integrated graphics are present.

Slide-in blade installation

The server slides into an empty c-Class bay and locks with the integrated lever; no rails or tools are required. Power, cooling and network links are made through the enclosure mid-plane. The most common issue is a firmware mismatch between the blade iLO and the Onboard Administrator — update both before adding the blade to a production enclosure. Memory must be installed in matched pairs per CPU to reach the 128 GB maximum.
