Dual Xeon Silver 4210 compute density

This HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 rack server arrives with two Intel Xeon Silver 4210 processors running at 2.2 GHz. Ten cores per socket deliver twenty threads for virtualised workloads, databases or container platforms. The 768 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory supports large in-memory datasets and high VM counts. Integrated graphics and HPE iLO Advanced remote management handle console access without a dedicated GPU.

Flexible drive bay and controller layout

The 2.5 inch chassis supports up to eight hot-plug bays ready for SATA or SAS media chosen by the buyer. A Smart Array P408 SAS controller provides hardware RAID for the installed drives. Two 500 W Flex Slot power supplies share the load and allow one unit to be swapped while the server runs. Dual 10 GbE and dual 1 GbE ports from Intel I350 and X540 adapters give immediate high-speed network connectivity. No drives are included so storage capacity and redundancy are defined at order time.

Sustained load thermal and power behaviour

Dual processors and a full memory complement draw continuous power that the redundant 500 W supplies are rated to deliver. The rackmount airflow path moves air front-to-rear across both CPU heatsinks and DIMM slots to keep temperatures stable during extended compute jobs. iLO Advanced monitors thermal sensors and power draw in real time and can throttle or alert before hardware limits are reached.
