Raspberry Pi USB HUB HAT

The LORDWORLD Raspberry Pi USB HUB HAT adds four USB ports to Raspberry Pi boards from the Zero W through the 4B+. It is aimed at makers and developers who need extra peripheral connections without occupying the single onboard USB port. The HAT format keeps the expansion mechanically secure and electrically aligned with the GPIO header.

Onboard UART with enable switch

An integrated USB-to-UART converter provides a dedicated serial console for debugging, and a hardware switch disables it when not needed to prevent signal conflicts. Status LEDs show power, UART activity and the state of each USB port so you can verify connections at a glance. The board draws power from the Pi and requires no separate supply.

USB 2.0 and 1.1 operation

All four downstream ports operate at USB 2.0 or 1.1 speeds, so attached devices run within the Pi’s native USB bandwidth. The HAT adds no active cooling and introduces negligible extra heat or noise in normal use. Power consumption stays within the limits of the host Pi’s own supply.

Questions sur cet article

What USB standard does the four-port hub support and what speed does that limit each port to?

The hub is compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1, so every port tops out at the 2.0 signalling rate.

What does the HAT need on the Raspberry Pi to physically mount and work?

It mounts on the standard 40-pin GPIO header found on Pi 4B, 3B+, 3B, 2B+ and Zero W or WH models.

How is the board installed and which step is often missed?

Press the HAT onto the GPIO header, then use the onboard switch to enable the USB-to-UART function before opening a serial terminal.
