Socket AM2/AM2+ platform
The MSI 770T-C45 is an ATX motherboard built around the AMD 770 chipset for Socket AM2 and AM2+ processors. It accepts Phenom, Athlon and Sempron CPUs, giving builders a foundation for legacy AMD systems that still need dual-channel DDR2 memory and a full complement of expansion slots.
Dual-channel DDR2 up to 8 GB
Four memory slots support DDR2 at 1066, 800, 667 or 533 MHz in dual-channel mode, with a maximum capacity of 8 GB. The board provides one PCI Express x16 slot at 2.0 speed, two PCI Express x1 slots and three conventional PCI slots for add-in cards. Six SATA II ports handle storage, while the Realtek 8111DL controller supplies a single gigabit Ethernet connection and the Realtek ALC889/885 audio codec delivers eight-channel sound compliant with Azalia 1.0.
Rear I/O and onboard headers
The back panel includes six USB 2.0 ports for peripherals. Onboard headers expose additional USB 2.0 connections, front-panel audio and the usual system controls. A CMOS battery, one SATA cable and an I/O shield are supplied in the package.
