Z590 ATX Motherboard for 10th
The MSI MPG Z590 GAMING FORCE is an ATX board built around the Intel Z590 chipset and LGA 1200 socket. It supports 10th and 11th Gen Intel Core processors along with Pentium Gold and Celeron chips. Four memory slots accept up to 128GB of DDR4.
PCIe 4.0 from the CPU with 11th Gen chips
Three PCIe x16 slots are wired for x16/x0/x4 or x8/x8/x4 operation. The top two slots connect to the CPU and run at PCIe 4.0 when an 11th Gen processor is installed, otherwise they operate at PCIe 3.0. The third slot comes from the chipset at PCIe 3.0 speeds.
2.5Gbps LAN, USB 20Gbps Type-C and 7.1 audio
A single Intel I225V controller provides 2.5Gbps wired networking. The rear I/O includes one USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C port at 20Gbps plus additional USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Gen 1 ports. Realtek ALC4080 codec delivers 7.1-channel high definition audio. Six SATA III and three M.2 interfaces handle storage.

Questions sur cet article
Should I choose the 128GB maximum memory version of this motherboard?
The board supports up to 128GB of DDR4 across four slots, so select that capacity if you need the full limit for heavy workloads or virtualisation.
What does the 5333MHz DDR4 figure mean once the board is installed in a system?
5333MHz is the highest overclocked memory speed the board can run; actual speed depends on the CPU memory controller and the modules you install.
How does the Z590 chipset affect PCIe 4.0 and 3.0 support on this motherboard?
With an 11th Gen Intel CPU the top two x16 slots run at PCIe 4.0; with a 10th Gen CPU they run at PCIe 3.0, while the third x16 slot stays at 3.0 from the chipset.
