AM4 X370 board for Ryzen builders
The MSI X370 GAMING PLUS uses the AMD X370 chipset and Socket AM4 to support first and second generation Ryzen processors as well as Ryzen with Radeon Vega graphics and A-series CPUs. It targets DIY builders who want a mainstream ATX platform for gaming or productivity without moving to newer chipsets. Dual-channel DDR4 support reaches 3200 (OC) MHz across four slots.
Standard ATX install with legacy PCIe
Installation follows normal ATX mounting and the board ships with a CMOS battery, one SATA cable and an I/O shield. The layout includes two PCIe 3.0 x16 slots that run at x16/x0 or x8/x8 with Ryzen, plus one PCIe 2.0 x16 slot wired for x4 mode and three additional PCIe 2.0 x1 slots. Builders should verify graphics card length against their case because the lower slots sit close to the bottom edge.
64 GB DDR4 ceiling and six SATA ports
Four DIMM slots accept up to 64 GB of dual-channel DDR4 at speeds from 1866 to 3200 (OC) MHz, giving ample headroom for most gaming and content-creation workloads. Storage connectivity covers one M.2 interface and six SATA III ports with RAID support. Rear I/O supplies 7.1-channel audio via Realtek ALC892, a Realtek 8111H Gigabit LAN port, one USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C and one Type-A at 10 Gbps, plus four additional USB 3.1 Gen1 ports from the chipset.

Questions sur cet article
How do I confirm the Realtek ALC892 audio is delivering 7.1 channel sound after setup?
Play a multichannel test file in Windows sound control panel and verify all eight speakers produce distinct tones.
Which accessories are included and which must be purchased separately?
The box contains the motherboard, a CMOS battery, one SATA cable and the I/O back panel; CPU cooler, memory modules and additional SATA cables are not supplied.
Should I choose a DDR4 kit rated at 2400 MHz or one rated at 3200 (OC) MHz for this board?
Both speeds are supported; 2400 MHz runs at default settings while 3200 MHz requires enabling the overclock profile in BIOS.
