The modules operate at 1.35 V and use a 240-pin 4Rx4 layout. They are not compatible with standard desktop computers or with unbuffered or registered ECC memory.

Build integration

Each module fits a 240-pin DDR3L slot and requires a platform that supports Load-Reduced ECC memory. The kit replaces Cisco part numbers UCSML1X324RYA, UCS-ML-1X324RZ-A and UCSML2X324RYE. Because Load-Reduced DIMMs cannot be mixed with unbuffered or registered ECC types, all slots in a channel should use matching modules. No heat spreader is fitted, so airflow in the server chassis handles cooling.

Capacity and headroom

The 128 GB total capacity suits virtualization hosts, database nodes and compute-heavy workloads that benefit from large memory footprints.
