Server ECC RDIMM kit

This 32 GB kit contains four 8 GB DDR3 1333 PC3-10600 CL9 registered ECC modules. It is built for HP ProLiant SL160z G6, SL170z G6 and SL2x170z G6 servers that require registered memory with error correction. Standard desktop boards cannot use these modules and they must not be mixed with unbuffered DIMMs.

240-pin DDR3 registered layout

Each module uses a 240-pin DDR3 interface at 1.5 V with a 2Rx4 organisation. The registered buffer reduces electrical load on the server memory controller, allowing the full kit to populate four slots. No heat spreaders are fitted, so airflow across the DIMMs must be provided by the chassis fans.

JEDEC DDR3 thermals and power

The modules operate at the standard 1.5 V DDR3 voltage defined by JEDEC specifications. Without heat spreaders the DRAM runs at the rated CAS 9 latency within normal server inlet temperatures. Registered buffering keeps signal integrity stable under sustained multi-threaded workloads.
